       3. University of Nigeria, Nsukka

Abbreviated as UNN, it is a federal University founded by the Late Nnamdi Azikiwe in 1955. It has 15 Faculties and 102 departments. The university tuition ranges from 70,000 to 77,200 depending on the course of study. The University has three campuses in Enugu State– Nsukka, Enugu, and Ituku-Ozalla  and the Aba, Abia State. It is also the first university in Nigeria that was fully established by Nigerian regional government.

        4. Obafemi Awolowo University

It is a federal government-owned University in ile-ife, Osun State of Nigeria. Founded in 1961, it is commonly known as OAU. Its tuition fees range from 43,700 t0 64,900. The university has 13 faculties. Previously its campus was in Ibadan till it moved to ile-ife in 1967. The university has a quite numerous notable alumni amongst other universities in Nigeria.

       5. Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria

ABU, Zaria as it is often called is a federal government university in Kaduna State. The university has 13 faculties and was established in 1962. Its tuition fee ranges from 25,500 to 45,000 and is one of the cheapest. Formerly called university of Northern Nigeria, it has its main campus in Samaru and another at Kongo.

     6. Federal University of Technology, Akure

Formed in 1981, FUT Akure, or FUTA as it is commonly called is based in Ondo State. The University has 9 schools School of Science, School of Earth and Mineral Sciences, School of Environmental Technology, School of Engineering and Engineering Technology, School of Agricultural and Agricultural Technology, School of Management Technology, School of Postgraduate Studies, School of Health and Health Technology, School of Computing.      7. Federal University of Technology, Minna

FUTMINNA was founded in 1983, it currently has 10 schools. The university is located in Niger State. Its tuition fee is ranging from 50,200 to 61,200. It has it main campus at minna- Kataeregi, Bida road. It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of African Universities. 

      8. Bayero University, Kano

It is the first university in Kano state, initially called Ahmadu Bello College was founded in 1960 till 1975 when it was officially renamed and turned into a University. The university tuition fee is 57,048.50 and rising to 150,000 with acceptance fees and other payments to be made.        12. University of Benin

It is a federal government-owned university located in Benin City, Edo State. It was founded in 1970 and has three schools under the college of medical sciences. Its tuition fees range from 69,900 to 73,400 for non-science and science degree programs. The university chancellor is Sanusi Lamido Sanusi former CBN governor and current emir of Kano. Its campuses are at Ugbowo and Ekehuan.

       13. Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti

The only Nigerian University is known to have changed its name four times, EkSU as it is called was formed on 30th March 1982. The university has 10 faculties within its campuses hosting different departments. It is also the only university has pays the same tuition for all its programs both indigenous and non-indigenous students. Its tuition ranges within 170, 000 and 171,000 acceptance included.

        14. Ogun State University

The Olabisi Onabanjo University was formed in 1972, as holds its current name was renamed from Ogun state university. But many students and its alumni still call it by its old name Ogun state university OSU as it is abbreviated. The university has 10 faculties and 52 departments. Its tuition is ranging from 75,000 to 150,000.

       15. University of Uyo

Commonly called UNIUYO, it is located in Uyo Akwa Ibom State, the second largest oil producing state. Formed in 1991 and was commonly called the University of Cross River state. It is a federal government university. It has 13 faculties and its tuition fees range from 55,000 to 61,000. The university has 4 campuses.

      16. Nnamdi Azikiwe University

Known as UNIZIK or NAU, is a federal government university located in Anambra State. It was established in 1991, it is named after the first Nigerian president Nnamdi Azikiwe. Its school fee ranges from 30,000 to 60,000. Nnamdi Azikiwe is currently the cheapest federal university in Nigeria. The university has two campuses in Anambra with its main campus in Awka and the other at Nnewi.

       17. Ladoke Akintola University of Technology

LAUTECH is located in OYO state, established in 1990. The university has 11 faculties. Its tuition fee is 170,000. The university chancellor is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a renowned politician and former governor of Lagos state. It bears its current name after the separation of Osun and Oyo State. The university main campus is located in Ogbomoso and another campus at Osogbo. It is a state-owned university located in Ondo state. Established in December 1999, formerly Obefemi Awolo University  in 1982. The university has 7 faculties. its tuition fee is 150,000.

         19. Covenant University

Covenant University is a private university in Ogun State, it is affiliated with a living faith church. Established in 2002 and it runs four colleges. Its tuition fee ranges from 472,000 to 900,000. Though the institutions’ fees are quite exorbitant, it is one of the best universities in Nigeria. The current chancellor is Dr. David O. Oyedepo the current leader of the Living Faith Church.      20 . Landmark University

Landmark University is a private university in Kwara state, it is affiliated with the living faith church. It was established in 2011, it has 3 colleges. Its school fees range from 400,000 to 600,000. The Universities chancellor is Dr. David O. Oyedepo the general oversee of the Living Faith Church. The university offers scholarships for international students, so prospective students should check out their nationality eligibility for the scholarship on the universities website. The school also maintains strict laws pertaining students conduct, dressing within the premises, prospective students should ensure to visit the universities page to read laid out instructions.
